Early Life & Education
Born Uche Nwaefuna on 8 May 1994 in Lagos, Nigeria, Uche Montana hails from Ibusa in Delta State but grew up in Festac Town, Lagos.
She attended Loral International School in Festac and then pursued her tertiary education at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education where she studied for a diploma in law.
Her early exposure to school plays and local performances laid the foundation for her future career in acting and production.
Career & Breakthrough
Uche Montana began her film career in 2015 with a role in the movie Poison Ivy, playing a housemaid.
Her major break came in the TV series Hush (2016 – 2017) where she took on the role of Lovina and earned acclaim for her performance.
Over the years, she has starred in numerous films including Hire a Woman, The Fake Life of Abuja Housewives, Made in Heaven, Seven, and many more.
In 2018, her talent was formally recognized when she won the MAYA Awards Africa for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series for Hush.
More recently, she received a nomination for Best Lead Actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2025, following her standout role in Thin Line.
