Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has added another major achievement to his career after winning Album of the Year at the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA 27) with his critically acclaimed project “Iron Boy.” The award marks another huge milestone for the rapper and singer, whose album has dominated conversations since its release in April 2025. 

During his acceptance speech at the Grand Arena in Accra, Black Sherif revealed that the “Iron Boy” album took nearly three years to complete, thanking his management team, producers, and loyal fans for supporting the project throughout its journey. The album, which blends hip-hop, Afrobeats, and Highlife influences, has been praised for its emotional depth, storytelling, and cultural impact within Ghana and beyond. 

The TGMA victory further cements Black Sherif’s position as one of Ghana’s biggest music exports.
